A true masterpiece of its time, this original 1940's blush pink wool suit, embellished with trailing grey toned chenille soutache in a floral design, is the perfect addition to your tailored vintage wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the jacket is framed by a structured shoulder line. The bracelet length inset sleeves, frame the elegant cut, which draws in centrally with chenille covered buttons. The tailored design of the jacket, boasts simple darts along each yoke, and below either side of the bust-line, drawing the eye to the front pockets which are elaborately embellished with trailing floral soutache in a raised pattern, framing pale pink soutache braiding.
The matching skirt, sits perfectly beneath the jacket and boasts a smile waistband. The front of the skirt is accented by a notched seam design along the front, which sits just below the waistline. The back of the skirt features a pale pink wool panel below the waistline. The simple straight cut, completes this set in a timeless and iconic 1940's silhouette. The skirt is un-lined. The jacket is lined in taupe coloured silk.
