Made in the most sumptuous black silk and decorated with trailing ribbon work on a tulle and mesh base, this original 1950's dress is the perfect little black dress for your wardrobe.
The round scooped neckline joins the shoulder line and sets off the short length tulle embellished sleeves. The illusion bust-line of the dress boasts a base layer of nude mesh, beneath the black tulle, which is embellished with ribbon work embroidery in a trailing floral design. The fitted bodice, boasts tailored darts that run from beneath the bust-line and join the cinched in waistline. The elegant skirt is accented by inverted pleats that radiate from beneath the front of the waistband, and drape into the elegant silk skirt, completing this dress in an iconic 1950's silhouette.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. WH
