Rendered in the most sumptuous shade of pink gabardine and embellished with gold source braiding and black beadwork glued within the soutache designs, this original 1940's jacket is the perfect piece to add to your seasonal collection.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a pointed collar, embellished with detailed floral soutache embroidery and beadwork. The simple shoulder line, is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, which draw the eye to the full length inset sleeves. The elegant line of the jacket, boasts Princess seams, which run along either side of the front, framing the gabardine matching covered buttons.The fitted waistline, sets off the wonderful front pockets, which are decorated with tiered collars embellished with matching soutache embroidery and beadwork and finished with buttons. The jacket is fully lined in cream rayon.

Condition: This jacket is in good but not perfect vintage condition. There is a pin sized age mark along the right hand side shoulder seam, just next to the Princess seam. Two small pin sized age marks along the front left hand side shoulder line, near where the base of the collar sits. A small scattering of marks along the back of the left hand side sleeve and two along the back of the right hand side sleeve.Two small marks along the centre seam long the back of the jacket just above the hemline. Small areas of discolouration along the back of the collar. The lining shows signs of wear with staining along the armpits. A small hole to the lining along the internal right hand side. Discolouration and colour variation along the nape. These minor details are not overly apparent when the jacket is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection.
