An eye-catching piece to behold, this original 1950's vintage cotton day dress, rendered in a tan and cream abstract pattern with a small checkered pattern, is just the piece to welcome to your everyday wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline, is framed by a 3/4 length dolman cut sleeve. The fitted bodice, is accented by a central seam, from which the bust darts radiate in a triangular seam design. The cinched in waistline, sets off the near full circle cut of the skirt, which radiates from box pleats along the waist seam, setting off the two front pockets beneath the waistline. This dress has been photographed with a medium petticoat for added volume, this is not included within the listing.

Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. Some areas of very light colour variation where the dress has slightly yellowed over time, luckily this blends in perfectly with the colour palette and is not overly apparent when the dress is being worn. These areas can be found long the top of the shoulders, above the waist seam, along the back of the left hand side sleeve, and a few scattered areas within the skirt. There is a small pin size rust mark along the front of the waist seam. A small age mark at midway height along the front right hand side of the skirt. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
Fastenings: This dress fastens along back with a 17 inch metal zip and a metal hook and eye
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned but can be washed in cold water water.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. WH
