Rendered in a palette of bold green tones in an abstract leaf print, this timeless 1950's dress and jacket ensemble is the perfect addition to your vintage collection.
The rounded bateau cut neckline of the dress is framed by medium width shoulder straps and a sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts along the bust-line, which draw the eye to the fitted waist panel which boasts gathered pleats, that set off the cinched in waistline. The fitted waistline, draws the eye to the classic cut of the skirt, which boasts small box pleats that run from either side of the front of the waistline. The dress is fully lined in a gold colour rayon.
The rounded neckline of the jacket is framed by a Peter Pan Collar which draws together with matching cotton ties. The simple shoulder line, is accented by tailored darts along each yoke. The 3/4 length inset sleeves, frame the cropped length of the jacket, which is finished with silver rhinestone button fastenings.
The cropped length of the jacket sits perfectly above the fitted cut of the dress, completing this ensemble in an iconic 1950's silhouette. The jacket is fully lined along the bodice in gold coloured rayon.

Closures: The dress fastens at the back with a 14.5 inch metal zip and a hook and loop. The jacket fastens with a tie, a press stud and 5 buttons.
Condition: This dress set is in near perfect vintage condition, with very gentle wear to the cotton along the armpits of the dress. This is in no way apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
