"In Navy" Vintage 1940's Navy Blue Silk & Beadwork Peplum Skirt Suit UK 8

A rare piece to behold and never again find. This 1940's navy blue slub silk suit, accented with trailing beadwork in iridescent blue, in a classic silhouette, is perfect for your vintage wardrobe.

Her half mandarin style collar, and soft rounded lapels frame the V shaped neckline. Her yokes are decorated with matching silk raised soutache, in a trailing abstract pattern, accented by iridescent navy blue beads, creating an elegant eye catching feature along each side of the jacket.
Her 3/4 length dolman sleeves, are set off by the soft shoulder pads along each shoulder seam.
Her fitted bodice is drawn in by matching fabric covered buttons. Her cinched in waistline is accented by a stiffened peplum hemline, that creates the iconic 1940's silhouette.
The elegant tailored skirt, in a classic straight cut, sits under the jacket

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.

Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. All our measurements are taken whilst the garment is lying flat, we then double these measurements to reflect the actual size.
