"Sage & Yellow" Vintage 1940's Yellow & Sage Silk Pleated Dress UK
This original 1940's dress, made in the softest shade of yellow silk, with a geometric pattern in shades sage green and white, with small red polkadots in between each motif, is the perfect piece for your vintage wardrobe.
Her V shaped neckline is framed by panels of ruched gathers that begin from just below the yoke, and pleat along each side of the bodice to join the waistline. Her short length sleeves, boast matching turn ups, that frame the fitted bodice, and the matching silk covered button fastenings.
Her cinched in waistline, is accented by box pleats that drape from below the waistband, and create a pleated skirt-line.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with a small age mark to the right hand side of the skirt along the hipline. Some very light colour bleed to the red polkadots under the sleeves. Some very light sun bleaching along the back of the bodice. These minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable under closer inspection.
Fastenings: This dress fastens at the side with a 9.5 inch metal zip and 5 silk buttons to the front of the dress
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
