"Cornflower Blue Silk" Vintage 1930's Cornflower Blue Silk Dress UK 10-12

This breathtaking 1930's cornflower blue silk chiffon dress is a rare piece to behold and never again find.

Her square shaped neckline is framed by silk gathers along each yoke, that join the front of the neckline in matching silk twist appliqués, that frame the pleats along the front of the neck.
Her short dolman cut sleeves, are accented by central gathers along each cuff, finished with matching silk twist appliqués.
Her fitted bodice is set off by 2 front dart seams, and a cinched in waistline.
Her gathered smocking stitches along the waist, drape into a full flowing skirt, with a ruffled tier accent along the hemline.
This dress is sheer and will need to be worn with a dress slip to conceal ones modesty.

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 7 inch metal zip.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. Two small pin holes along the left yoke, and one along the left hand sleeve. A Small area of light related discolouration on the right hand shoulder, this appears slightly lighter in colour. A few small darns to the bottom tier of the skirt, this have been done previously and are not apparent when the dress is worn as they are well concealed within the pleats and the drape of the fabric.
