"Monochrome Silk" Vintage 1930's Silk Monochrome Beaded Cut Out Evening Dress UK 12-14

This sumptuous original 1930's dress, in a monochrome palette, accented by clear short glass bugle beads, is a rare piece to behold and never again find.

Her rounded neckline is framed by a border of glass beadwork, that contours around the neckline, and along the keyhole fastening to the back of the dress.
Her full length dolman sleeves, boast cut out panels along the top of the arms, framed by matching beadwork, that join the decorative row of covered buttons, that edge the side of the sleeves to the base of the fitted cuff. Her cinched in waistline is accented by the black silk of the skirt, and the incredible pointed seam work that runs along the hip line, and sets off the drape of the skirt, in a true Art Deco fashion.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.

Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. All our measurements are taken whilst the garment is lying flat, we then double these measurements to reflect the actual size.
