"Scalloped Sequins" Vintage 1930's Navy Blue Crepe Silk Sequin Blouse UK 12 US 8

This exquisite and rare 1930's navy blue crepe silk blouse, decorated with a pattern of scalloped sequin, is the perfect piece for adding a touch of art deco design to your wardrobe.

Her V shaped neckline is framed by thick shoulder pads along each shoulder seam. Her full length sleeves cinch in along the cuffs with 2 button and loop fastenings, creating a very soft bishop sleeve design. Her fitted bodice, is accented by a scalloped pattern on sparkling blue sequins, contouring areas of the crepe silk that have been slightly padded in a quilting style, to create depth and movement to the lustre and sparkle of the sequins. Her feature button and loop fastenings, draw the eye to the incredible craftsmanship, while the box pleats along the back of the waistline, set off a very slight peplum cut.

Condition: This blouse is in near perfect vintage condition, some light colour variation to the crepe silk along the shoulder seams, and some very light shrinking and loss of lustre to some of the sequins. These issues are both natural processes that happen to these fibres during the course of time. They are not visible or apparent when the blouse is being worn, and only noticeable under very close inspection.

Fabric: gelatine sequins, crepe silk

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.

Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today.
