"August" Vintage 1930's Silk Satin Smocked Blouse

This wonderful 1930's oyster blue silk blouse with incredible smocking detail is perfect for adding that feminine touch to your wardrobe.

Her sweet little Peter Pan collar, is complemented with smocking detail to the front and shoulder of the blouse, setting off the puff sleeves trimmed with simple cuffs. Her elegant tailoring accents the waistline with 2 front darts. Her elegant silk covered button fastenings to the back of the neckline and along the hem showcasing the beautiful craftsmanship of the era.

Closures: This blouse fastens at the back of the neck with 9 covered buttons, 16 further buttons at the base of the blouse and a press stud fastening at the hem line.

Condition: This blouse is in beautiful loved vintage condition. With a stripe age mark along the back of the right hand shoulder, some small pin impressions to the back near the top buttons fastenings. A small age mark and water mark hidden within the pleats of the bust. Some light wear to the bottom button fastenings. We take great care in listing the condition reports of our pieces, and feel that the minor age related issues of this blouse to not effect her overall beauty. This minor issues are not apparent when the blouse is being worn, and only noticeable under closer inspection.
