"Spanish Moss" Vintage 1930's Silk Bishop Sleeve Beaded Blouse

This breathtaking 1930's black silk blouse, embellished with rocaille beads and intricate crewel work embroidery, is a rare piece to behold and never again find.

Her deep cowl draped neckline, is set off by an elegant silk floral brocade band that runs along the base of the neck. Her full length bishops sleeves, balloon out before the slim silk cuff, and are decorated with beige silk inserts, accented by intricate crewel work, and floral patterns, embellished with micro rocaille beads, in shades on gunmetal silver, orange, white, and eau de Nil.
The blouson cut of the blouse, mimics the wrap of the cowl neckline, and is finished with a simple silk panel hem.

Closures: This blouse fastens to each cuff with 1 press stud, a single press stud along the hemline, 2 press studs and a hook and eye along the back of the neckline.

Condition: This blouse is in perfect vintage condition, with some very light bead loss, which is to be expected of a piece this age. This is not apparent when the blouse is being worn, and only noticeable under closer inspection. We believe this blouse has been lovingly restored through time, and the neck band has been replaced.
