An eye-catching piece to behold, this original 1960's cream shantung silk dress accented by turquoise and coral coloured cabochons beadwork and trailing gold soutache embroidery, is just the piece to add to your cocktail wardrobe.
The rounded neckline is framed by a raised mandarin style collar, which draws together along the nape with two hook and eyes. The neckline and collar are decorated with turquoise and coral coloured cabochons beads, surrounded my gold braided soutache embroidery and accented by scattered claw set silver rhinestones. The beadwork is framed by gold soutache braiding in a notched rounded bib design. The simple shoulder line of the dress, sets off the short length inset sleeves. The elegant cut is accented by Princess seams which run from either shoulder seam down to the hemline, drawing the eye to the drawn in waistline which is accented by a matching silk back belt, which fastens with three silk covered button and loop fastenings. Finished with 2 front pockets along the hipline and a gentle A line silhouette. This dress is lined in cotton.
