"Trailing Bugle Beads" Vintage 1940's Navy Blue Crepe Silk Beaded Dress UK 12 US 8
This beautiful 1940's navy blue crepe silk dress, embellished with iridescent blue glass bugle beads, in a pattern of trailing flowers, is a rare piece to behold.
Her deep V shaped neckline is framed by pleats that radiate upwards from beneath the bust-line. Her short length sleeves are edged with pointed turn-ups.
Her fitted bodice is accented by a bead embellished waist panel that meets in a pointed seam to the centre of the décolletage.
Her cinched in waistline, is set off by elegant pockets along the hips, and beading that trails from the waist, decorating the front of the pockets. The elegant simple cut of the skirt, completes this dress in an iconic 1940's silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 10.5 inch metal zip.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with a very small darn to the left hand side just beneath the waistline and above the pocket. Very minor bead loss. These minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable under very close inspection.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned
