This truly magnificent 1940's wool coat in a wide plaid woven pattern, in shades of grey, fully lined in silk, is the perfect addition to your seasonal wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a notched collar that joins the front of the coat in lapels. The simple shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, setting off the raglan cut of the sleeves. The full length sleeves are edged with wide turned up cuffs. The fitted bodice of the coat sets off the cinched in waistline, which is accented by triple tailored dart seams, that join the two front pocket along the top of the hipline. The elegant line of the coat, boasts a central inverted kick pleat, completing this dress in an iconic 1940's silhouette. Finished with a central inverted pleat along the backline and drawn in pleats along the back of the waist. This coat is fully lined in rayon .

Condition: This coat is in near perfect condition. A small darn along the left hand side lapel. Very light colour variation to the lining and a few very small scattered pin holes, A small mend to the back left hand side seam along the waistline. These minor details are not apparent when the coat is being worn. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
