"Soutache & Beadwork" Vintage 1940's Brown Embellished Coat UK 12-14 US 8-10


This incredibly tailored heavy 1940's brown wool coat, embellished with trailing soutache embroidery stitches in brown thread, and sparkling bronze beadwork, is a rare piece to behold and never find again.

Her pointed collar frames the neckline, which in turn is set off by a wide capelet collar, that sits along the shoulders, embellished with trailing soutache embroidery and beading.
Her full length sleeves, are edged with turned up cuffs. Her fitted bodice is set off by central button fastenings, and a cinched in waistline. Her skirt-line is set off by two mock front pockets, which are in turn embellished to match the capelet, with bronze beadwork and soutache embroidery.

This jacket is fully lined in silk

Condition: This coat is in perfect vintage condition, with two very small pin sized areas of wear to the wool along the front left hand side of the skirt-line. These minor issues are in no way apparent when the coat is being worn, and only noticeable under close inspection.

Fabric: Silk lined, wool, embroidery, beads.
