This rare and incredibly intricate 1920's satin and silk velvet hat, constructed on an internal millinery woven organza base, internally lined in silk and edged with faille ribbon is a true masterpiece of its time. The external silk base of the hat is accented by deep purple velvet flowers, which are adorned with radiating painted brushstrokes in shades of yellow and orange, contouring the central twisted ribbon centres of the flowers. A rare piece to behold.
