Rendered in the softest shade of blush pink set against black satin, with pink and black glass beadwork accents, this original 1930's dress, is just the piece to add to your evening wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by blush pink silk yokes and shoulders, which boast cage silk strap details along each shoulder line. The elegant short length sleeves, designed in a flutter effect are accented by slits and simple joining stitches along the base of the wide flutter. Each yoke and sleeve front is decorated with small clusters of pink and black beads. The black satin bust-line draws the eye to the pointed under-bust panel, in blush pink silk, which is in turn decorated with black and pink beadwork, drawing the eye to the fitted waistline. The elegant skirt-line boasts a bias cut, and is finished by pointed seams along the bottom half of the bias cut of the skirt.
This dress has been cleverly restored through its lifetime, and we believe is a combination of two different dresses.

Condition: This dress is in good and restored condition. We believe that this dress may have once been two separate dresses, with some amendments mades to the bodice. A few very small pin holes along the hemline of the dress. Some visible stitches and raw edges to the seam work along the lower part of the skirt line. There is a slight different in the finished of the black satin between that on the bodice and that along the lower part of the skirt. Some light and natural bead loss. These minor details, are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn, and only apparent under closer inspection.
