This truly divine 1930's seafoam green silk dress, with detailed pleats and Art Deco designed rounded seams, is a rare piece to behold.
The V shaped neckline is decorated with a border of stylised braiding in a pleated and folded stitched design, accented by matching silk piping to either side. The elegant shoulder line is accented by smocking stitches along each yoke, that create small pleats to the silk as it radiates along the bodice, joining the central rounded seam beneath the bust. The full length sleeves are accented by gathered pleats along each shoulder seam and finished with simple cuffs with internal press stud fastenings. The elegant bodice of the dress draws in along the waistline, setting off the elegantly draped line of the skirt, completing this dress in an iconic 1930's silhouette. Finished with button and loop fastenings along the nape.
