This original 1940's wool dress, in a wonderful shade sea green, is the perfect piece for your everyday wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a notched collar and accented by central clear plastic floral fastenings along the front of the bodice and down to the hipline. The shoulder line, with internal shoulder pads, sets off the bracelet length sleeves. The fitted bodice is accented by curved decorative pockets along each yoke, with a wonderful raised soutache andd sage green embroidery, with notched panels and further embroidery leading up to the shoulder line. The fitted waistline, with pleated to each side radiating up the bodice sets off the wonderful straight line of the skirt and central box pleat to the front.

Closures: This dress fastens down the front with 5 buttons and a press stud at the waist.
Condition: This dress is in well loved and far from perfect vintage condition. An age mark within the soutache embroidery on the left hand pocket, another age mark below the left hand pocket. A small scattering of holes to the right hand sleeve. 3 pin sized age marks to the left hand side of the skirt just above the hipline. A small hole to the left hand side just below the waistline. A darn to the back of the left hand side bodice just below the armpit. a small hole to the right hand side of the centre back of the bodice. A central hole to the back of the skirt. Although this condition report appears lengthy they do not inhibit the wearability of this piece. Please refer to the photographs as these form part of the product description.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
