Rendered in the most wonderful scattered petal and leaf burnout print, in the softest shade of buttercream silk, this original 1930's vintage dress, is just the piece to welcome the warmer weather with.
The high rounded neckline is framed by a piped edge which draws together along the nape with button and matching silk covered button fastening. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves, which boast pleats along each shoulder seam, setting off the internal rayon shoulder pads, accenting the puffed cut. The elegant blouson cut of the bodice, drapes from the front of the neckline in small gathered pleats. The cinched in waistline, is accented by a matching fabric belt, with a large double tier statement bow, which fastens with concealed hook and eyes beneath the bow. The elegant full length cut of the skirt, features 5 inverted pleats that run from the waistband to below the hip-line along the centre front and back, accenting the elegant drape of the dress. This dress is sheer and may need to be worn with a dress slip to conceal one's modesty.

Condition: This dress is in good condition. Very faint yellowing to the silk along both armpits. The left hand side armpit has a small patch mend, which has been done sympathetically and in matching silk. Two small age marks along the front of the waist seam. A small scattering of age marks along the internal side of the right hand side sleeve along the forearm area. A few small scattered age marks along the front of the skirt line along the inverted pleats. A few gentle age marks along the hemline of the skirt . A small age mark along the back left hand side of the bodice. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection. Fastenings: 6 press studs and a hook and eye along the side seam and 12 button and loops along the nape.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
