A rare piece to behold and never again find. This 1940's woven cotton set, in the softest shade of pale blue with a pattern of flowers and ribbons in shades of white grey and pink with black detailed accents is perfect for work or play.
The rounded neckline is framed by a mandarin styled collar. The elegant shoulder line is accented by shoulder pads along each sleeve seam, setting off the tiered pointed overlays along each sleeve, edged with black pipping, setting off the short length sleeves. The fitted bodice is accented by central black button fastenings, framed to either side by longline seams, that draw the eye to the silhouette and cinched in waistline. The matching skirt, boasts a simple waistline and panelled design, completing this set in an iconic 1940's silhouette.
This set is slightly sheer and would benefit from being worn with a slip.

Condition: This suit is in near perfect vintage condition. Four very small darns to the front right hand side of the blouse. A small darn along the central part of the back of the neckline along the nape. A small darn to the right hand side sleeve. These have been done previously and sympathetically and are not apparent when the set is being worn.
