A beauty to behold, this original 1940's red crepe silk dress, with detailed pocket features is just the piece to add to your seasonal wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a stand-away collar, which turns down and joins the front of the bodice in a pointed turned down featured that joins the waistline. The simple shoulder line sets off the 3/4 length inset sleeves, which are edged with pleated gathers along each cuff. The elegant line of the bodice is accented by feature pockets along each yoke, edged with red faille collars. The cinched in waistline, sets off the wonderful drape of the skirt, which boasts inverted pleats, setting off the elegant line of the longer length hemline to the back of the dress.

Closures: This dress fastens along the side seam with a 12 inch metal zip and along the nape with a hook and eye above a key hole feature.
Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. Some light shining to the faille fabric along the collar pockets. A small area of wear to the crepe silk along the right hand side pocket.A small area of wear to the crepe silk turned down panel along the centre front of the bodice. Very light impressions marks along the back of the bodice .These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection.Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
