"Red Carnations" Vintage 1940's Red Silk Carnation Illusion Neckline Dress UK 12 US 8

This incredible 1940's silk dress, with a pattern of red and pink toned carnations, with green stems, on a black background, is the perfect piece for your vintage wardrobe.

Her high rounded neckline is framed by an illusion V shaped neckline, accented by soft cotton tulle along the décolletage, and a silk internal modesty panel that runs along the internal part of the bodice, framed to either side by matching silk flowers, that run from the shoulder seams to the waistline, creating the wonderful illusion of a deep V shaped neckline. Her short length sleeves, frame the fitted bodice. Her cinched in waistline, sets off the simple panelled skirt, that completes this dress in a true 1940's silhouette.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.

Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. All our measurements are taken whilst the garment is lying flat, we then double these measurements to reflect the actual size.
