"Pleated Silk" Vintage late 1940's Fuchsia Pink Silk Pleated Dress UK 12-14 US 8-10
This original 1940's dress, made in the most sumptuous shade of Fuchsia pink silk, and with the most breathtaking pleats, is the perfect piece for your vintage wardrobe.
Her V shaped neckline is framed by a simple panel along the front of the décolletage and matching covered silk button fastenings. Her short capped sleeves feature horizontal pleats, that juxtapose the vertical pleats along the bodice. Her bust-line is set off by a pleated panel, that draws the eye to the centre of the dress, and cinched in waistline. Her elegant pleated skirt, is accented by rounded contrasted pleated panels along the front of the hipline, creating the illusion of pockets, while setting off the elegant drape of the silk.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with a few scattered age marks to the front right hand side of the neckline along the silk panel just above the décolletage.
A small darn to the front right hand side of the skirt.
A small darn along the back of the right hand side sleeve. These minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable under closer inspection.
Fastenings: This dress fastens at the side with 4 press studs, and to the front with 6 covered buttons
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
