An eye-catching piece rendered in an iconic silhouette and lightweight blend, this original 1940's pistachio green skirt suit is the perfect piece for work or play.
The deep V shaped neckline of the jacket is edged with pointed lapels and a collarless nape. The strong shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads. Her full length sleeves are edged with pointed turned up cuffs. The waistline is drawn in by a single pearlised button fastening, drawing the eye to the Princess seams that join the large side pockets beneath the waist. Her longline cut, sits perfectly over the simple waistband of the skirt. The straight-line cut of the skirt is set off by 6 panels, completing this suit in an iconic 1940's silhouette.

Condition: The Jacket: A light tan coloured impression mark to the left hand side lapel along the point. Some light impression marks to the left hand side lapel. Some light colour variation along the left hand side cuff. A rounded water mark on the right hand side shoulder line just beneath the nape. Two small pulls to the weave along the back right hand side of the waistline.
The Skirt: A central darn along the front of the skirt. Some scattered impression marks and light speckled colour variation. Colour variation along the waistband. These issues are not overly apparent when the suit is being worn as the colour and tailoring distract the eye. They are apparent upon closer inspection. This piece has been priced accordingly.
