This breathtaking 1950's dress and coat set, in the most sumptuous palettes of pinks and moss green, with a blossoming rose print in a luxurious raw silk and lined in silk organza, is the perfect statement piece for your wardrobe.
The rounded neckline of the dress is decorated with a central silk bow along the front of the décolletage. The simple shoulder line sets off the short capped sleeves, The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts that draw the eye to the cinched in waistline, set off by a slim waist band. The cut of the skirt is accented by box pleats to either side of the waistline.
The moss green raw silk coat boasts a rounded neckline framed by a simple shoulder line and 3/4 length sleeves. The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts that set off the elegant waistband with a central bow detail, concealing the press stud fastening. The wonderful skirt line, is set off by bold pleats, and a rounded cut, completing this set in an iconic and structured silhouette.

Condition: This dress set is in near perfect vintage condition.
The Dress: External: Two small areas of wear to the silk along the back of the bodice within the centre of two of the roses, these have been darned sympathetically and blend in with the floral print. One small dot of discolouration to the back of the bodice along the left hand side of the zip, this appears a few shades lighter than the green silk base. A small seam mend along the left hand side yoke, radiating from the sleeve seam.Internal: Light age marks to the silk lining along the bodice, light wear to the organza lining along the skirt, with some pulls and small holes to it. These details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn.
The Coat: Two small pin sized marks to the front left hand side of the bodice, and one concealed beneath the decorative waist bow.These are not apparent as the lustre and reflection of the raw silk conceals them. Very light yellowing to the internal floral silk lining along the nape.
