This truly iconic 1940's pinstripe dress, rendered in a pastel palette of pink, green, blue and cream with black stripe accents, set off by black button fastenings, is the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection.
Her V shaped neckline is framed by a soft turned down shawl collar. The simple shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, which set off the pleated gathers along the top of each inset sleeve. The 3/4 length sleeves are edged with turned up cuffs. The fitted bodice, is accented by tailored darts along each yoke, and to the sides of the bust-line. The central black button fastenings, draw the eye to the fitted waistline. The elegant line of the skirt, is set off by a side pocket along the right hand side hipline, and central button fastenings. Finished with a lowered and rounded hemline along the back of the dress, this magnificent dress showcases the iconic silhouette of the 1940's.

Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. There is an age mark to the front right hand side of the bodice, between the second and third button. A hole to the rayon along the left hand side of the bodice at the height of the second button. And age mark along the front right hand side of the skirt below the pocket. A small hole/area of wear to the rayon along the front right hand side of the skirt-line 9.5 inches up from the hemline. Light area of wear/creasing to the rayon along the right hand side sleeve. Light wear to the rayon along the left hand side armpit. These minor details are not overly apparent when the dress is being worn. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report. This dress has been priced accordingly.
Fastenings: This dress fastens at the front with 10 buttons and a concealed hook and loop along the waistline.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
