This original 1950's ink blue cotton dress with a black coloured novelty print of ships approaching a port and passers by waving, is the perfect piece for your vintage wardrobe.
The square shaped neckline is framed by a simple shoulder line and short capped sleeves. The fitted bodice sets off the cinched in waistline and elegant dropped skirt line, which is set off by a black satin ribbon and side rhinestone embellished decorative buckle and bow. The skirt boasts gathered pleats that radiate from beneath the satin ribbon and drape into a near full circle skirt, photographed here with a medium petticoat for added volume, completing this dress in an iconic 1950's silhouette.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. WH
