Rendered in a classic silhouette, this original 1940's navy blue dress, accented by navy blue ribbon details, is just the piece to add to your timeless capsule collection.
The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by a soft turned down collar, which draws together along the front beneath the navy blue ribbon detail, drawing the neckline into a styled pussy bow design. The simple shoulder line is set off by internal shoulder pads, which draw the eye to the dolman cut 3/4 length sleeves, which are edged with turned up cuffs. The elegant fitted bodice is set off by radiating ribbon panels that begin from beneath the pussy bow, run diagonally along the bust-line and join the back of the dress above the waistline, creating a contouring ribbon feature. The cinched in waistline of the dress is accented by central matching button fastenings, which run along the centre front to just below hip height. Finished with a simple skirt-line, set off by tailored darts and a central tab panel, which gives the illusion of fastenings that run along the length of the dress, completing this piece is an iconic 1940's silhouette.
