Made in the most sumptuous shade of navy blue crepe silk, embellished with deep blue bugle beads and iridescent blue sequins in a trailing floral design, this original 1940's dress and matching shawl are the perfect ensemble for that special occasion.
The V shaped neckline of the dress is framed by thin shoulder straps. The fitted bodice is accented by 4 internal bones. The cinched in waistline, sets off the elegant straight cut line of the skirt, finished with a small slit along the back of the hemline. The matching shawl sits elegantly along the shoulder line and boasts a wide caplet back.

Condition: This dress is in good vintage condition. Light and gentle beadwork loss. There is an area of colour fading to the front left hand side of the skirt along the hipline, where there crepe has been exposed to sunlight for a prolonged amount of tine, this appears as a faint shade of orange. A very small age mark to the front left hand side of the bodice just above the waistline. Very light colour variation along the back of the waistline seam. Light colour variation to the matching shawl and light beadwork loss. These minor details are not apparent when the set is being worn, and only apparent under inspection.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
