Rendered in a monochrome black and white palette, in an abstract floral pattern, with black velvet accents, this original 1950's dress is just the piece to add to your everyday wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline and backline of the dress is framed by an intricate border design which creates a cut away ladder detail, accented by central silver claw set stud details, and framed to either side by black velvet pipping, finished with a central black velvet bow along the décolletage. The short length sleeves, draw the eye to the fitted bodice, which boasts tailored darts that run from beneath the bust-line to the cinched in waistline. The elegant Demi-circle skirt drapes from the waist seam and boasts small box pleats to either side of the front of the waistline. Finished with a concealed pocket along the right hand side of the skirt, this wonderful 1950's dress showcases the iconic silhouette of the era. This dress has an inbuilt single layer tulle petticoat.

Closures: This dress fastens along the side seam with an 11 inch metal zip.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. The silver claw set studs along the neckline have signed of wear to the silver finish, where the silver has rubbed away with time, to reveal a brass coloured base perfect vintage condition. Light and natural impression marks to the velvet finishings. A few small tears to the tulle petticoat lining. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only apparent upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
