This breathtaking vintage 1920's pongee silk robe, in a muted palette of corals, pinks, greens and blues on a cream toned base, is a rare piece to behold and treasure.
Her traditional cut, boasts 3/4 length kimono sleeves, and an open neckline front. Her wonderful border lapel, frames the open cut of the robe, and sets off the intricate floral pattern, in which you can see lantern and open parasols surrounded by chrysanthemums

Condition: This robe is in perfect condition. A darn and mend to the back of the right hand side sleeve. A small darn along the back of nape. A light scattering of age marks along the left hand side of the front of the bodice, these are well concealed within the drape and colour palette. A few small areas of thinning to the silk throughout, and a few small scattered pin holes. Light and gentle age marks conceal within the floral print. These minor details are not apparent when the robe is being worn and only visible under inspection.
