Made in the most delicious shade of jade green cotton and decorated with silver glass lined beads and gunmetal silver bugle beads, this original 1950's evening dress and matching bolero is just the perfect ensemble for that special occasion.
The V shaped neckline of the dress is accented by a pointed winged design along either side of the front of the décolletage, these pointed details are internally boned along the edges, allowing for the dress to keep this wonderfully dramatic shape. The front of the neckline is accented by decorative beadwork, which in turn, embellishes the thin shoulder straps. The central part of the bust-line is accented by triple gathered pleats that radiate across the bust, and set off the curved and pointed seam beneath the bust-line. The fitted bodice is set off by boning along each side seam and the central bust seam, drawing the eye to the cinched in waistline. The full circle cut of the skirt drapes along the silhouette and contrasts the fitted cut of the bodice.
The matching green cotton bolero, boasts an open rounded neckline, that sets off the 3/4 length dolman sleeves and cropped length. This sits perfectly above the dress, and completes this ensemble in an iconic 1950's silhouette.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, With light and natural bead loss. A small age mark beneath the waistband the right hand side of the skirt . A small age mark along the back left hand side of the bodice. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
