Rendered in an iconic silhouette, this original 1940's hickory brown light weight cotton suit, accented by swirling soutache embroidery, is the perfect ensemble for your tailored wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the jacket is framed by a shawl collar that joins the front of the jacket in soft lapels, which are decorated with swirling soutache accents. The simple shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads along each shoulder seam. The 3/4 length sleeves are edge with turned up cuff. The cropped length of the jacket sets off the edge to edge cut. Finished with mock front pockets along each side of the bust and detailed soutache embroidery positioned above each pocket.
The matching skirt, boasts a wide waistband and a central zip and button fastening along the back. The hipline is set off by gathered box pleats that radiate from either side of the front of the waistband , pleating and draping into each front pocket. The simple line of the skirt is finished with a central slit vent.

Condition: This suit is in near perfect vintage condition. Gentle wear to the finish of some of the soutache embroidery. This is not apparent when the suit is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the product description.
