This original 1950's dress, rendered in the softest of cottons, with a novelty print of fruit, sheet music and instruments, in a bold palette of oranges, reds, blues, greens, and white, set against a black background, is just the piece to welcome the warmer weather with.
The rounded neckline is edged with black cotton pipping which gathers the central part of the neckline in soft pleats, that radiate along the bust-line. The wide shoulder straps set off the sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice is accented by a wide waist panels, that sets off the cinched in waistline. The full circle skirt, is accented by box pleats that radiate from the waistband, creating a pleated drape, whilst drawing the eye to the statement from pockets along the bottom part of the skirt. This piece has been photographed with a medium petticoat for added volume.
The petticoat is not included in the listing.
