This iconic 1950's dress, rendered in a wonderful shade of golden cotton with a trailing floral print of blooming chrysanthemums in a lighter shade of gold, is the perfect piece to add to your everyday wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a pointed notched collar. The simple shoulder line, set off the 3/4 length sleeves, which gather in pleats along the front of each wide turned up cuff, which are in turn finished by double matching covered button fastenings. The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts and central matching fabric button fastenings. The cinched in waistline, sets off the wonderful full circle cut of the skirt, which radiates from box pleats from beneath the waistline. Finished with a pocket along the right hand side hipline, every detail of this dress, showcases the iconic 1950's New Look silhouette of the era.
This piece has been photographed with a medium petticoat, which is not included in the listing.
