This mesmerising 1930's Lamé Dress, with a pattern of blooming flowers in gold lamé threads set against a black silk base, is a rare piece to behold.
The soft V shaped neckline is framed by wide shoulder straps and a sleeveless cut. The elegant fitted bodice, boasts a decorative diagonal seam, that runs from the left hand side shoulder line and joins the fitted waistline. The eye-catching line of the skirt is accented by Art Deco geometric seam designs along the front of the hipline in detailed triangular points, setting off the soft inverted pleat along the front of the skirt draping into the bias cut hemline. Finished with a soft V shaped backline, this original 1930's dress showcases the beauty and intricate design of the 1930's. This dress is fully lined in black silk.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect condition. Light and natural tarnishing to the gold lamé throughout. Gentle darker tarnishing along the base of each armhole. Light and natural thread lifting to the lamé throughout. Light and gentle pulls to the lamé along the waistline and to the top point of the inverted pleat. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn and do not detract from the beauty of this piece.
