A piece to behold. This original 1940's cream woven wool jacket, embellished with gold sequins, gold bugle beads, gold glass beads and gold faceted circular studs, is a true masterpiece to behold and the perfect piece to add to your tailored wardrobe.
Her V shaped neckline is framed by a notched collar, which is embellished with a floral pattern in gold sequins, gold beads and ornate gold faceted studs. The strong shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, creating an iconic 1940's structure. The full length sleeves, boast double darts along the undersides, at elbow length, facilitating movement when worn. The tailored cut of the jacket is set off by Princess seams that draw the eye to the cinched in waistline, and matching wool covered buttons, which feature embroidery stitch details along the edges. Finished with statement front pockets, which are adorned with matching gold beadwork and sequin embroidery, with curved and embellished collars. This jacket showcases the iconic craftsmanship and design of the era. The jacket is fully lined in cream rayon.

Condition: This jacket is in restored and good condition. A small darn to the left hand side of the bust-line. A small area of wear to the wool weave along the left hand side of the bust just beyond the Princess seam. Two small pin sized darns just above the left hand side pocket. A small darn along the left hand side sleeve. A small darn along the back of the jacket to the left hand side just below the collar. Three small pin sized age marks to the back of the jacket along the waistline. A small age mark to the back of the jacket along the right hand side of the hemline. Light and natural beadwork loss. This jacket has been fully restored and these minor repairs are not apparent when the jacket is being worn as they have been done sympathetically.
