This original 1940's dress, rendered in a deep black crepe silk and an Eau de nil panel of crepe silk along the neckline, which is in turn embellished with trailing gold lamé south and gold sequins, is the perfect piece to welcome to your seasonal wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the dress is framed by a simple shoulder line. The full length sleeves are edged with press stud fastenings along each internal side of the cuffs. The fitted bodice is accented by a stylised Eau De Nil coloured pointed panel, which frames the neckline and shoulder line, drawing to a point along the central part of the waistline. The Eau De Nil crepe silk panel, is decorated with trailing gold lamé soutache in a floral design, accented by sparkling gold sequins. The bodice boasts triple pleats to either side of the base of the bodice, drawing the eye to the waistline. Finished with a simple skirt-line, this dress showcases the intricate decorative craftsmanship of the era.
