"Dulcet Botanicals" Vintage 1920's Silk Floral Embroidered Piano Shawl

This magnificent 1920's large silk square shawl, in the darkest shade of midnight black, is the perfect accessory for your vintage collection.

Fully embellished in silk floral embroidery, in shades of pink, blue, green, cream and purple in a blossoming peony design, set against a black silk base. The shawl is edged with silk knotting which sets off the long length silk tassels.

Condition: This shawl is in near perfect vintage condition. There are two small darns along the central part of the black silk base. These have been done sympathetically and are well concealed within the floral embroidery pattern that surrounds them. A few small pin holes to the black silk base. Light and natural wear to the silk fringing which has been untangled, the fringing occasionally hangs lowers in some areas, where the silk thread has pulled in length through time. These minor details are not apparent when the shawl is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
