This enchanting 1940's navy blue silk dress, with a pattern of flying doves and blossoming roses in shades of pink, green and cream, is the perfect piece for your vintage wardrobe.
The rounded neckline is framed by a simple shoulder line and wide short length sleeves. The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts that run from beneath the bust-line drawing the eye to the cinched in waistline. The elegant skirt is accented by two tiers that draw in along and beneath the waistline, fastening along the back with buttons and loops, whilst creating a soft peplum detail. Finished with a bias cut skirt-line, completing this dress in an iconic 1940's silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 10 inch metal zip and 4 button and loops along the back of the peplum feature.
Condition: This dress is well good vintage condition. A small age mark along the right hand side front of the bodice within the pink rose beneath the bust line. Light and gentle yellowing to the cream silk accents along the armpits. A few very light age marks in the rose print along the left hand side top of the bodice. The buttons along the back of the waistline have been replace, as the original buttons were falling apart. Colour variation to the cream accents, this appears brighter along the lower part of the dress and slightly discoloured along the top. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the product description.
