This spectacular early 1940's crepe silk dress in the deepest shade of burgundy, is a rare piece to behold.
The V shaped neckline of the dress is accented by pleat details along the front of the décolletage. The simple shoulder line sets off the full length sleeves with small slits along each cuff and double sewn pleats along the elbow line. The fitted bodice is accented by a cinched in waistline, which draws in with the matching crepe silk belt. The skirt-line, is accented by a sewn pleat design which crosses over along the front of the hip line, and drapes into elegant pleats that run along the length of the front of the skirt, completing this dress in an iconic early 1940's silhouette.
