A beauty of her time, this original 1960's raw silk coat, rendered in cream coloured silk, which is in turn embellished with silver glass beads in draped and looped clusters, accented with faceted glass droplet beads, which are set off by clusters of scattered pearls, is a once in a lifetime piece of fashion history.
The elegant V shaped neckline is framed by a wide pointed notched collar, which crosses-over along the front of the coat with a concealed hook and eye fastening. The simple shoulder line, sets off the bracelet length inset sleeves, which frame the full length of the coat, setting off the wonderfully wide A line cut skirt line. The cream raw silk base of the coat is accented by beaded embellishments which add to the movement and accent the iconic style of the era. Finished with concealed pockets either side of the hipline. This coat is fully lined in cream rayon.
This coat is incredibly embellished and a full length piece, it is a garment that holds a substantial amount of weight, which is well distributed when the coat is being worn.

Condition: This coat is in near perfect condition. Very light and faint age marks along the edges of the left hand side bottom pointed collar. Gentle and faint age marks along the front left hand side panel of the coat below the waist area. Very gentle and light yellowing along the base of the left hand side sleeve . Very light and gentle age marks along the from right hand side panel of the coat . Very faint and gentle age marks along the back of the coat and hemline. Age marks and internal wear marks to the inside of the collar along the nape and edges. A small pen mark along the internal rayon lining and a few pin sized scattered grey marks to the lining. These minor issues are not apparent when the coat is being worn as they are well concealed by the lustre and sheen of the silk, they only visible under closer inspection.
