Rendered in a classic silhouette, this original 1960's cream silk skirt suit, with statement green button features is just the piece for your tailored wardrobe.
The elegant rounded neckline is framed by a slim Peter Pan collar that draws in with a concealed press stud fastening. The simple shoulder line is accented by Princess seams that run along the length of either side of the front of the jacket. The full length sleeves, frame the tailored bodice, which is accented by central green button fastenings and rounded pocket details along the hemline, which create scalloped notches to the hem.
The simple skirt, sits under the jacket perfectly, and features an elegant waistband and tailored darts to either side of the front and back of the skirt. Finished with a kick pleat along the centre back of the hemline.
The jacket is fully lined in silk, the skirt is lined in silk along the hipline.

Condition: This suit is in good but not perfect vintage condition. A small pin sized black dot along the back left hand side of the skirt, beneath the waistline and along the hip-line, this is positioned just a little farther from the zip. A second small black pin sized dot along the Botton back right hand side of the skirt just along from the kick pleat of the hemline. A small blue pen mark along the back of the waistband. Two small age marks along one of the darts along the right hand side front of the hipline. A small age mark along the front of the left hand side hipline. A very light scattering of small age marks along the back right hand side of the hipline just beyond the kick pleat. The jacket has a small area of wear to the silk along the right hand side yoke. The lining of the jacket is discoloured along the nape and internal shoulder lines, with some light yellowing along the internal armpits. A small mend to the silk above the third button hole. A small darn to the silk along the back of the right hand side shoulder A These minor details are not apparent when the suit is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection.
