This beautiful 1930's cream silk jacket, accented by delicate trailing canton floral embroidery, is the perfect addition to your wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a soft Peter Pan collar accented by floral embroidery. The simple shoulder line sets off the full length sleeves, which are in turn embroidered with trailing flowers in cream silk thread. The simple straight line cut of the jacket is accented by large pearlised buttons, that conceal press stud fastenings. Finished with floral embroidery along the front and back of the jacket, this beautiful piece showcases the craftsmanship of the 1930's. We believe this piece may have been a 1920's silk piano shawl, which in time has been modified and made into a jacket.

Condition: This jacket is in well loved and adored vintage condition. Scattered age marks along the top of the right hand sleeve and along the right hand side cuff. Light thread lifting along the embroidery. A few small scattered pin holes along the front of the jacket. Light scattering of age marks along the back of the collar and just beneath the turn down of the collar. A small scattering of age marks to the centre back of the shoulder line. A few small pin holes to the back of the jacket. A small darn to the back right hand side of the jacket along the hemline. Although listed, these details are not overly apparent and only noticeable upon inspection. This piece has been priced accordingly. Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned
