This magnificent Chanel two piece suit, dated 1995 from the Spring/Summer Collection, made in a wonderful woven cream lightweight wool, with cream and gold iconic Chanel buttons and hardware, is the perfect iconic piece for your vintage wardrobe.
The V shaped neckline of the jacket is framed by a notched collar which sets off the double breasted cut, accented by 4 button fastenings and 6 decorative button features. The elegant shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads and set off by tailored Princess seams that run from the central part of the shoulders to the hemline. The full length sleeves are set off by 4 stylised mock button features along each external side of the sleeves. The tailored cut of the jacket boasts pockets beneath each side of the bust-line, which draw the eye to the cinched in waistline, which is accented by a matching fabric belt with a central gold toned metal hardware and leather buckle. The jacket is fully lined in silk with a monogramed Chanel pattern.
The matching skirt sits perfectly beneath the jacket and boasts a simple waistband with two hook and eye fastenings along the centre back, with an internal hook clasp, finished with a zip. The elegant line of the skirt features knife pleats which frame the elegant central panels along the front and back. The skirt is lined in an elasticated silk fabric.
This suit comes with its original Chanel velour hangers.

Fastenings: The jacket fastens with 4 external buttons , a hook and eye along the waist, and two internal buttons, finished with a belt. The skirt fastens with two hook and eyes, and internal hook and a 7 inch concealed plastic zip.
trousers fasten to the each side with 3 iconic Chanel four leaf clover buttons and two press studs and a hook and eye.
Condition: Jacket: The jacket is in near perfect condition. A small and sympathetic darn to the wool weave along the back left hand side sleeve an inch away from the joining sleeve seam, and another small darn positioned along the left external side just below the shoulder seam. Two small sympathetic darns beneath the waistline on the back left hand side of the jacket. Two very light surface marks along the nape of the jacket. Very gentle discolouration to the Chanel silk lining along the armpits. The belt has some light lifting to the leather backing. The skirt is in perfect condition. Part of the bottoms of the labels have been cut away, although these still say Chanel, the product codes and composition are no longer attached. These minor details are in no way apparent when the suit is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
