Full of opulent original details, rendered in the most luxurious fashion, in cornflower blue silk chiffon, accented by gold lamé threads and embroidery, gold sequins and beads, this rare 1920's piece is a beauty to behold
The deep V shaped neckline, is framed by trailing lamé thread embroidery, gold, pewter and silver beads, drawing the eye to the dropped waistline, which is drawn together behind a rhinestone buckle fastening. The elegant shoulder line is decorated with trailing floral embroidery, that joins the backline is a decorative beaded floral pattern. The elegant skirt line, boasts gathered pleats beneath the piped waistband, that drape into a wonderful skirt, edged with soft scalloped details and matching trailing beadwork. The over dress is line in silk chiffon.

Condition: This over-dress is in good perfect vintage condition.Visible internal stitches along the lining across the back of the over-dress. Some very fade areas of discolouration to the silk chiffon along the bodice. Some very light gold impressions on the right hand side of the bodice, where is appears there has been some colour transfer from the sequins. The gold sequins have sadly shrunk and stiffened, although this creates an interesting design feature. Similar gold impressions can be found along the skirt-line. Some areas of light discolouration to the skirt line, and a few very small pin sized holes to the silk chiffon. Gold impressions along the backline from the sequin transfers. These are minor and not apparent when the over-dress is being worn as they are well concealed within the drape and incredible design of this piece.
