A marvel to behold. This original 1920's coral coloured silk shawl, embellished with hand painted floral details and a statement dragon, and accented by scattered glitter features is a rare piece to behold.
The length of the shawl is edged with a hand painted cream silk border which has been finished with a scattering of glitter. Each side of the shawl is in turn embellished with hand painted floral details, which have been accented with glitter and metallic painted details. To one extremity of the shawl, there is a feature hand painted dragon in shades of turquoise, accented by metallic paint and glitter and contoured with a stylised silver rounded medallion design. This shawl showcases the wonderful craftsmanship of the era.

Condition: This shawl is in near vintage condition. The glitter features which have faded through time and lost their lustre. One of the floral decals appears to have been sketched on but never painted in ( this is now a pencil design) One of the corners of the shawls is missing its white cream painted border . A few very light scattered age marks to the main body of the shawl. A larger age mark along the dragon side of the shawl . These minor issues are in no way apparent when the shawl is being worn, and only apparent under very close inspection.

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or delicately hand washed in cool water.
