A beauty to behold. This original 1930's crepe silk dress, rendered in the most luxurious shade of coral and decorated with claw set silver rhinestones, is the perfect piece for that special occasion.
The V shaped neckline of the dress is accented by a turned down scalloped collar that joins along the front of the neckline with a concealed hook and eye. The wide shoulder straps, set off the simple shoulder line and sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice is decorated with silver claw set rhinestones in elongated petal designs, creating the illusions of overlapping scalloped details, in sparkling rhinestones. The fitted waistline, is accented by a matching silk belt, which can be fastened along the front of the dress or the back in a stylised knot. The bias cut of the skirt, sets off the elegant central seamed panel which creates a stylised inverted pleat design that drapes from below the hipline to the hem of the dress. The right hand side of the skirt line is decorated with silver claw set rhinestones in a notched Art Deco design, above four detailed seams. The back of the bodice is decorated with a design of petal shaped scalloped rhinestones to either side, leaving the central part of the back-line clear, and drawing the eye to the central pointed seam along the back of the skirt.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. An area of wear to the silk belt along one of the extremities. A small age mark along the front of the right hand side of the skirt, along the hipline.
